There’s never really been a single path to what I do… more a gradual coming together of things over time. Photography came first, then writing followed… film found its place along the way, and different projects began to take shape, each one with its own purpose. Somewhere in the middle of all that, it became clear they needed a place to sit properly.

I founded Cromer Media as the creative home for my work, bringing together photography, film, independent journalism, original music and website creation in one place. Over time it became the flagship hub connecting my specialist websites, each developed with its own focus and audience. Cromer Media provides the wider picture, allowing every project to retain its own identity while showing how they all fit together.

As I began reaching out into various fields and audiences, it just seemed best to allow each website to expand on its own terms. That’s where Cromer Media came into play, helping to tie it all together and explain what each website does.

My work has grown through years of hands-on experience… time spent behind the camera, within the community, and observing the small moments that often pass unnoticed. The approach has always been the same… to observe rather than direct, and to allow things to unfold naturally. These days, the process still begins in much the same way… often with a notebook, a coffee, and a bit of quiet time before anything takes shape.

The tools may have evolved… but the intention hasn’t. It’s never really been about chasing anything… just about noticing what’s already there.
